6 day Flower Tour to Namaqualand Route we follow (Subject to change. Availability of flowers will dictate at the time) Our route runs through various different known flower regions: Cape Floral Kingdom, in particular the Cape West Coast Area around Clanwilliam Area around Nieuwoudtville The Knersvlakte The coastal region of Namaqualand The Namaqualand klipkoppe Click here to view or print map (.PDF file) Suggested ittenerary Day 1: We will collect you from your Cape Town overnight stay or from the Cape Town International Airport if you arrive on an early flight. Latest departure time from Cape Town is 10h00 The route leads to Darling and the Postberg wildflower reserve before we continue to Clanwilliam for our first night at the Waenhuis. Day 2: After an early breakfast, we depart for Nieuwoudtville via the Botterkloofpass. We will find the best flowers and visit the Nieuwoudtville waterfall. Our route continue down the Vanrhynspass and north towards Garies. We overnight on the farm Sarrisam somewhere on the way to Hondeklipbay. Day 3: After a relaxed breakfast we spend a relaxed day on the farm and enjoy the flowers along a riverbank and along the coast. We again spend the night on Sarrisam. Day 4: This is a busy day that includes visits to Wallekraal, Hondeklipbay, Soebatsfontein, Kamieskroon and the Skilpad flower reserve in the Namaqua National Park. We will arrive late at our destination for the night, the Nababeep Hills Guest house. Day 5: The best flower sites at the time, that may include the area around Nababeep, the area around Okiep, and the Goegap Flower Reserve at Springbok. We again spend the night at the Nababeep Hills Guest house. Day 6: An early breakfast followed by the return trip. We will enjoy more flowers on the way, in particular the Knersvlakte and the Ramskop Gardens in Clanwilliam. We will arive back in Cape Town by late afternoon. Tour start dates July 30, 2008 August 07, 2008 Our tour cost include all your expenses like travel, accommodation, all meals, entry fees etc., etc. We exclude expenses of a personal nature and alcohol. At this time the cost of the tour is set at R 8,500.00 per person. We reserve the right to change the price subject to changes in the cost of fuel.
