HOW TO GET THERE
On the N7 154km north of Springbok.

HISTORY
Vioolsdrift is not much more than the border control post situated on the South African side of the border with Namibia

The border is open 24hours.

ORIGINS OF THE NAME
Vioolsdrif takes its name from Jan Viool, a violinist who used to play his music in the area at around the turn of the century.
