On the N7 some 300km north of Cape Town.

HISTORY
Laid out in 1887. Became a municipality in 1913. Played prominent role during the Boer War.

ORIGINS OF THE NAME
Originally named Troe-Troe. Renamed in 1880 after the owner of the farm on which town was laid out.
