HOW TO GET THERE
Situated 10km south of Nieuwoudtville.

DETAIL
Nieuwoudtville is one of the most diverse botanical areas in the Northern Cape. Indigenous vegetation includes the Western Cape Renosterveld, the vegetation of southern Namaqualand, Bushmanland and the Western Karoo.

The 12,350 acres Oorlogskloof Nature Reserve, provides scenic views from the escarpment over the Knersvlakte, as well as interesting rock formations and archaeological remains.

Various mammal and reptile species are found here along with ninety-four bird species.

A variety of hiking trails are available with a hiking hut and tent camps. Bookings essential. No other accommodation available on the reserve. Picnic facilities and swimming in the Oorlogskloof River available for day visitors.
